Location: Calabria
As previously written in Entry 30, in reference to the Moschilla branch of the family tree:
Salvatore Moschilla and Concetta Trimboli’s eight children grew up among grandparents, aunties, uncles and a massive number of cousins, all living within walking distance or a short donkey ride from one another. If lines are drawn on a map connecting the three towns of Siderno Superiore, Siderno Marina and Locri, the area within this triangle and surrounding outskirts is basically where the majority of the extended families lived.
This exact statement also applies to the Trimboli branch, with the descendants of Angela Galea and Giuseppe Trimboli. Dating from 1912 to the late 1950s, their numerous grandchildren were born over an astounding period spanning about 45 years. Squeezing them all onto a single page within their family groups has been quite an interesting challenge!
Occupying a tiny space, and almost overshadowed by the vast community of relatives surrounding her, is my mother Girolama Moschilla - the little 10-year-old girl wearing a borrowed, pale pink dress with a bow in her hair.
